1. Open Outlook Express and click TOOLS / MESSAGE RULES / MAIL as shown in the image below.

2. On the next window, click NEW.

3. Next, insert a check to the left of "Where the Subject line contains specific words" in the first box. For the spam messages to arrive in another folder other than the INBOX to sort through them later, insert a check to the left of "Move it to the specified folder" in the second box. Click "CONTAINS SPECIFIC WORDS" in the third box.

4. Type {Spam?} in the field as shown below exactly as displayed below and click ADD. Click OK.

5. Click "SPECIFIED" in the third box under the previously selected "CONTAINS SPECIFIC WORDS" option, as shown in step 3. Click NEW FOLDER and type the name of a folder you want the spam messages to arrive into. Ensure that you have selected the new folder by clicking on it and highlighting it as shown below.

6. If you do not want to sort through the spam messages, but want them deleted, go back to the NEW MAIL RULE window as shown below and insert a check to the left of "Delete it", instead of "Move it to the specified folder" and click OK.
