Site Selection
Establish policies and guidelines for choosing housing locations; acquire information on lot availability and pricing; as well as neighborhood compatibility; work to obtain the best purchase price.
Public Relations
Educate and inform the public regarding the mission and purpose of this affiliate; also arrange for public speakers, communications with the media, and publication of a periodic newsletter.
Building
Establish policies and guidelines for home construction or rehabilitation; advise Board on building design, building costs; schedule construction work.
Family Selection
Establish policies and guidelines for choosing recipients of Habitat housing or renovation; coordinate individual, church, and community support for Habitat families; make reports to Board concerning the state of Habitat families.
Family Support
Provide Habitat homeowners and prospective homeowners or home repair recipients with a mutual support system, educational opportunities, and a forum for discussions pertaining to home ownership and maintenance.
Fund Raising
Coordinate the raising of funds through grant proposals, activities and events, and cultivation of donors to finance the mission.
Executive
Oversee implementation and administration of policies and procedures as determined by Board.
Nominating
Identify and recruit prospective directors and principal officers and present a slate of nominees for election at the annual meeting.
