Payne County Habitat for Humanity is now Stillwater Habitat for Humanity. The name was changed in order to better reflect the area this affiliate serves and to recognize that there are two Habitat for Humanity affiliates in Payne County, one in Cushing and this one in Stillwater. Our email address has also changed from PCHfH@hotmail.com to StillwaterHfH@hotmail.com.
Since the spring of 2002, two young resale stores in Stillwater have been donating part or all of their proceeds to the building fund. The Elite Repeat, a resale store which carries new and used clothing, books, household items, bedding, small appliances, toys, and small furniture pieces, is located at 716 S. Main. Phone 377-4462. The Habitat ReStore at 510 E. 12th sells used plumbing and lighting fixtures, tolls, hardware, building supplies, etc. Phone 372-8100 (Tues.,Thurs,Sat.).
In September of 2003, SHfH completed a new house at 312 S. Benjamin Street. The house was dedicated and named "The Elite Repeat House" due to the large contribution given from the proceeds of the resale shop for the construction. The house it designed throughout for wheelchair accessibility.
SHfH logo T-shirts are available for $13.00 each. All profits from the sales contribute to our building efforts. SHfH is also a Community Partner with Albertson's. If you shop at Albertson's and present a SHfH Community Partner card, Albertson's will donate a percentage of your purchase to SHfH. If you would like one of these cards, contact Kathy Dorr or send us email.
