Europe

Most of my travels in Europe were when I was either going to or coming from Africa, the Middle East, or Pakistan, none-the-less, I had an opportunity to see interesting places and beautiful scenery as is evident in the following images.

The first two are at opposite ends of Lake Geneva in Switzerland which offers breathtaking scenery from border to border.

The sites of antiquity in Athens are wonderful, but I think I enjoyed the ruins of the Roman Empire in North Africa and the Middle East more.

I enjoyed every place I visited in Spain a great deal. Madrid, Segovia, Toledo, Avila, Barcelona, and others cities along the coast have much to offer the tourist, but my best memories of Spain are of Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands off Spain's east coast in the Mediterranean. The island is small, but has a wealth of things to see and do. ..

The architecture in Paris is fabulous and the French Riviera is nice, but the sandy beaches on the North African side of the Mediterranean are far nicer than the rocky beaches on the Riviera, however the Riviera offers "atmosphere".
